We work diligently to complete your project according to your schedule and with respect to your home space and personal living, while keeping your backyard nice and clean on a daily basis.
MATERIALS:
You can choose from a variety of wood and other decking material.
Wood Frame:
Decks are traditionally built with a pressure-treated wood or Douglas Fir frame.
Wood Decking:
The available decking options are Brazilian Hardwoods (IPE, red Mangaris), Douglas Fir and redwood. There are different options for types of finishes including paint, stain, waterproof and penofin oil.
Composite Decking:
For a low maintenance solution to your decking needs there are alternative deck materials that are revolutionizing the deck industry. These composites are manufactured by Trex, Timbertech, Fiberon. Evergrain.
Composite Decks usually come with a manufacturer’s 20-year warranty. These composite materials are guaranteed not to splinter, warp, crack, or peel, and never need to be painted. These composite decks are code approved & fire-rated brands. We install these synthetic boards using special decking screws in various colors and hidden decking fasteners that will provide you with the best aesthetic result.
DECK INSTALLATION:
After deciding on design and material… it is time to get to work!
Deck Footing:
One of the key elements of deck construction are the footings because they provide the support for your deck. The amount of footing is determined by the load on your deck.
Deck Frame:
Framing installation is done almost the same as house framing. To construct our decks, we use Simpson Strong-Tie construction as well as a hardware selection according to building code requirements.
When a deck is attached to the house, it is important to start with connecting the ledger board to the house. Then tie the posts to the footings and install the beam over the posts. Joists are installed every 16” on center with blocking in between the joists.
Deck framing is done with even spaces in between each joist so that the decking installation will be precise with nicely aligned cuts and seams. The fascia board then ties the joists together at the other end.
